Dr. Ava Floyd, PsyD
Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Floyd earned a doctor of clinical psychology with a focus on marginalized groups navigating acculturation. After graduation and joining a therapy practice, her interests in people of color working in high achieving careers increased.A common theme noticed during sessions are individuals expressing cultural and identity conflict from colleagues and upper management.
These conversations led to an interest exploring racial and gendered discrimination for individuals in white collar careers. Many of Dr. Floyd's clients identify as Black, Hispanic, East Asian, and South Asian working as engineers, lawyers, psychologists, scientists, surgeons, and more.
She has also developed and led workshops, along with being panelist for private and large organizations. She makes an effort to incorporate open dialogue, decrease tension, and identify ways for colleagues to have a cohesive environment.
